2 dead, 38 injured in vehicle accident in NE China

CHANGCHUN - A bus carrying tourists from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region overturned in Northeast Jilin province, killing two and injuring 38 others on Friday, local government sources said.
The accident happened around 3 pm, when a bus heading from Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province, to Changchun, capital of Jilin, overturned in the city of Yushu, said a Yushu government official.
Yushu is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Changchun.
The 38 injured include 36 tourists from Hong Kong, the bus driver and one local tour guide, the official said.
Two severely injured have been sent to a hospital in Harbin, while others were admitted to two local hospitals in Yushu. None of the injured are in critical condition.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
