“I saw an old man rushing out of the bus, with all flames on him and yelling for help,” witness Chen Xiangquan told China Daily. “A passing-by motorcycle driver and I were scared to come up for help, worrying about the explosion. So the man probably died.”

The middle-aged man also said the flame was so huge that people dare not draw close within 10-meter of its radius, and the bus number plate was burnt even unrecognizable.

"It seemed strange that the bus burned up so fast. The steel plates on the top and bottom were quickly ruined," said another man surnamed Zhou. “An old woman who survived from the bus told me she smelled the fuel. She’s sure it’s not alcohol.
