A bus is on fire after an expolsion in Shanghai, May 5, 2008. Three passengers were killed and 12 others injured in the incident. The cause of the explosion is still yet unknown. [xmnext.com]

SHANGHAI: A bus catching fire on a road lined with residential buildings in the city killed at least three and injured 12 others during morning rush hour.

The No.842 bus, which had roughly two dozens passenger on aboard, suddenly caught fire in the middle part caused by something inflammable, passengers said, while police said the cause of the incident was under investigation.

Families and witnesses said five people were seriously injured, with at least one of them in critical condition. Police has sent criminal detection team to deal with the incident.
