BEIJING --Foreign tourist arrivals to western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region reached 423,500 in the first half of this year, according to statistics released by the regional government's tourism bureau.
Xinjiang has also attracted 13.32 million domestic visitors, generating 12.6 billion yuan (US$1.95 billion) of domestic tourism revenue in the first half of year, achieving a 37.4 percent growth year-on-year.
