The launching and signing ceremony of 2016 Beijing-Macao Partnership Cooperation was held in Macao on Oct 20. As a sign of cooperation the Provisional Municipal Council of Macao (IACM) signed an agreement with the organizing committee of the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 (“Beijing Expo”) confirming its attendance.
“We have been invited to Beijing Expo, which marks a new step in the exchange between Beijing and Macao on gardening work,” says Dai Zuyi, president of the IACM Management Committee. Beijing is rich in history and culture, and its hosting the expo reflects Beijing residents’ pursuit of a green life, he added.

Macao plans to set up a professional exhibition team and develop a well-planned exhibition design to show the unique horticultural culture of Macao.
A Beijing Expo organizing committee official noted that the expo will be a new platform for the two cities to strengthen economic and trade cooperation as well as mutual understanding. New opportunities and high-tech enterprises will be offered to Macao’s cultural and creative industry.
“We expect more Portuguese-speaking companies to join us,” the official added.
