Du Deyin, director of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress Committee, suggested that the 16+1 nations should seize opportunities, reach more agreements on trade, tourism, culture and agriculture and learn more about other partners to better develop their cooperation potential and to create communication channels between departments and enterprises.
As the curtain of the Forum fell, the two-day Charming Beijing Photo Exhibition and Intangible Heritage Exhibition in Sofia also came to an end.
Yordanka Fandakova, mayor of Sofia, hoped that as Sofia is the oldest European capital city after only Athens and Rome, it could further its relations and cooperation with Beijing -- an ancient city with a similar long history -- in various aspects such as culture and tourism.
Furthermore, the two cities are working on establishing a "Chinese culture center" in Sofia to further promote the Charming Beijing culture.
