The China Xi'an Investment Environment Explanation Meeting and Project Signing Ceremony was held on April 6 in the Shangri-La Hotel in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.
The China Package Town, jointly developed by Xi'an International Trade and Logisitc Park and Sichuan Wuniu Group, the Bio-Finance Town, jointly developed with Shenzhen Life Insurance Company, and 33 other projects were signed at the meeting.
Total contracted projects have reached 18, with a contract value of 27.3 billion yuan ($4.4 billion), reaching a record high for the International Trade and Logisitc Park.
The China Package Town project developed by Wuniu Group, a famous leading Chinese company in the packaging industry, will rely on the international Trade and Logisitc Park and the large northwestern market to build up a World Package Product Expo in Xi'an. The project will concentrate on packaging main and auxiliary materials, machines, home accessories and creative artworks.
Life Financial Town is financed by the Life Insurance Co with 5 billion yuan ($8.1 billion). The project's main functions include the western headquarters of the Life Insurance Company, a backup center, a call (online sales) center, a financial rental company, industrial investment fund, Life Insurance Shaanxi branch and Property Insurance Shaanxi Branch. At the same time, the project will help the International Trade and Logisitc Park management committee introduce renowned foreign finance organizations to the region.
