"This movie speaks about you. We are all part of the 7 billion others (the global population). It's a political movie about what it means to be mankind," says the director.

Filmed in 60 countries to capture the real stories of 2,020 people in 63 languages, the film showcases the happiness, pain, stress and fears of people-asylum seekers in Calais, workers in Bangladesh, farmers in Mali and even death-row inmates in the United States.

All the interviews, which were done by 16 journalists, have the same 40 questions, and are shown in a simple way in the film.

With a single-color backdrop, the interviewees appear in neck-above close-ups, and do first-person narrations.
