BISHKEK - The 11th prime ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) opened in Bishkek Wednesday morning with focus on strengthening cooperation in economy and cultural exchanges within the framework of SCO.
Among the participants are leaders from six SCO members -- China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and five SCO observer countries -- Mongolia, Pakistan, Iran, India and Afghanistan.
Premier Wen Jiabao arrives in Bishkek on Tuesday to attend the 11th prime ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiev welcomed Wen at the airport. [Photo/Xinhua] |
