VILNIUS - Lithuania's opposition Labor Party took lead in the first round of parliamentary vote, an exit poll showed on Sunday.

The lion's share of the vote went to the Labor Party, at 19.8 percent, followed by Social Democrats, which bagged 17.8 percent, while the ruling Homeland Union came the third with 16.7 percent, said an RAIT/BNS poll.

Lithuania, the biggest of the three Baltic states, has a parliament of 141 members who are elected every four years. Some 71 of the members are elected in single-member constituencies, and the other 70 are elected in a nationwide vote by proportional representation.
