Bomb threat causes airport evacuation in Texas

HOUSTON - Airport authorities on Wednesday evening locked down a terminal building of an airport in Texas state's Dallas city, following a bomb threat on an American Airlines flight.

The plane arrived at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport from Austin, capital of the US state of Texas.

According to local TV channel ABC13, as a precaution, passengers were asked to exit the flight 1072, and the plane was moved to an isolated area for checking, but inspectors found no bomb.

An Austin airport spokesman said someone called the airport by saying there was a bomb threat on two specific planes, of which one plane was already on its way to Dallas.

In Austin, a plane on the ground was also checked but no bomb was found.

On Aug 1, a bomb threat at the San Antonio International Airport of Texas also caused the evacuation of both terminals there.

A male caller told the airport that he had left a luggage at the airport and it was going to blow up.
