Nepal National Water Week to be organized

KATHMANDU - Nepal National Water Week (NNWW) is going to be observed across the nation on the occasion of the World Water Day and the World Meteorological Day.

World Water Day  is celebrated on March 22 while World Meteorological Day is celebrated on March 23 every year throughout the world.

NNWW Organizing Committee Saturday said that a water festival is going to be organized on March 16-18 with the purpose of providing information about fresh water and to raise public awareness for the sustainable management of sources of fresh water.

"Water and food security" is the slogan of the NNWW. The main objective of the World Water Day is to draw the attention of all in national and international level about the impacts of climate change and pollution in water resources and food security.
