Lyu Siqing was the first Asian violinist to win the first prize in the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy, 1987. Hailed by Strad as "an outstanding talent", Lyu has given performances in more than 40 countries. Those performances have taken him to some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Musikverein in Vienna, Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York City. Apart from an active soloist on stage globally, Lyu is also dedicated to chamber music.
