Born in Taiwan, Sheu Fang-yi was once Martha Graham's chief dancer, and was honored as 'Successor of the Mother of Modern US citizen Dance Martha Graham'. She has been presented with many awards in her outstanding dance history, including 'Fifth Order of Brilliant Star (Cravat)' in Taiwan, being the youngest ever winner of the national literature prize and so on. The European Dance Magazine has praised her as an 'Excellent Female Dancer'. Sheu Fang-yi is the annual sponsor artist for Lativ and the spokesperson of EVA Air Star Alliance. In 2012, she was invited to a special role in the movie Touch of the Light. She was also invited to participate in the movie The Assassin directed by Hou Hsiao-hsien for which he won Best Director at the 2015 Festival De Cannes. She plays 2 roles in the movie: the twin princesses Jia Cheng and Jia Xin.
