New Year's Charity Concert

The concert will focus on Tchaikovsky's classics, conducted by George Maxman, a Russian-American and graduate of the Moscow Conservatory. As a violinist, Maxman has cooperated with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and others. Passionate for Chinese culture, he is determined to integrate Eastern and Western classical musical arts and perform music with stronger expressive force and power.

Flamenco dance school Portacones presents the second edition of flamenco dance performed by students and teachers of the school. The hour-and-a-half long show takes the audience through a tour of the different flamenco styles, coupled special lighting and costumes for each dance. The teachers of the school, Javier Meilan and Yolanda Santiago, both veteran professional dancers, will also participate in the show.
