The 2014 Beijing Marathon started pre-registration on July 18, and the Green Channel for foreign entrants' registration was closed late September. The Beijing Marathon is the most historical marathon race in China and an IAAF Gold Label race for seven consecutive years. The event will start at Tian'anmen Square and finish at National Olympic Park. The scenic, flat fast course brings runners along many historical places of interest and modern constructions. The Full-Marathon is open to 26,000 entrants and Half-Marathon to 4,000 entrants. The Mini-Marathon has been cancelled.
