For over 62 years, Denmark and China have enjoyed good bilateral diplomatic relations. Denmark was actually one of the first western countries to establish diplomatic ties with China. In early 2012, China's president Hu Jintao paid the first-ever visit to Denmark which brought bilateral relations between the two countries to an exceptionally high level and sparked a raft of trade agreements.
Friis Arne Petersen, Denmark's ambassador to China, sat down with China Daily reporter Andrew Xing in Beijing to share his hopes an expectations regarding bilateral relations and China's environmental protection.
