Show adds delights to International Children's Day

Synopsis

Led by the Bean-pod babies "Do Re Me", the leading character of the story—"Babe" happily sets sail from Taiwan, accompanied by "Pestle-Pounding music of Thao" that is played by Taiwanese aborigines when celebrating their harvest season. In Thailand and Vietnam of Southeast Asia, "Do Re Me" and "Babe" are introduced to a traditional Thai musical instrument—"wai gong", and "Anklong", a Vietnamese musical instrument made of bamboo which is as long as a hammock; in Europe, they get to know "castanets" of the Spanish Flamenco; in Africa, they see the vibrant and dynamic "African drums"; in Latin America, they hear "steel drums" of the Caribbean Sea; and in South America, they experience the lively dancing and rhythm of the Brazilian Carnival.

Programme Introduction
