Guanyuan market was opened ten years ago. It used to be an open-air market selling flowers and pets. Nowadays the market has become a hot spot for tourists due to different shops in the market selling large variety of fishes and animals. Shop owners tell the China Daily reporter that they were told to move out as the decades-old market is about to close for refurbishment.
