The Urumqi Public Security Bureau released on Wednesday a wanted list and the photos of 15 suspects from the July 5th riot in the city that left 197 people dead. Police urged the suspects to turn themselves in.
Those who surrender within ten days and make contributions to arrests of suspects, will receive leniency or even be remitted, while others will be punished severely. People who report the suspects or offer clues will be rewarded while their names are kept secret.
Meanwhile, Police also released the names and photos of 40 suspects who had been detained, including 25 arrested by police and another 15 turned in by citizens.
