The Ministry of Education says university enrollment in Xinjiang is under way.
Plans call for one-hundred thousand students to be recruited in Xinjiang. The rate will reach 60 percent, higher than the national average.
The country's top universities, including Peking, Tsinghua, Beijing Normal, and Fudan, are taking part.
