Confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases rise to 9 on Chinese mainland
The Chinese mainland has confirmed 2 new cases of A/H1N1 flu, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the mainland to 9.
Beijing's municipal health bureau reported the latest flu case late on Sunday. The 46-year-old Chinese national is receiving treatment at Ditan Hospital. The man returned to Beijing from Canada on May 21st on flight AC-031.
Also on Sunday, the Ministry of Health confirmed that a two-year-old girl in Changle city in the eastern province of Fujian tested positive for the virus. The patient is now in a stable condition. The girl had returned from the United States via Hong Kong with her family. They flew in on flight CX-841 from New York on Wednesday morning, transferring to Changle on flight KA-662 later in the day.
