President Hu Jintao has left Mauritius, wrapping up his five-nation "journey of friendship and cooperation." The tour, which started on February 10th, has also taken President Hu to Saudi Arabia, Mali, Senegal and Tanzania.
Earlier on Tuesday, Hu met with Mauritian President Anerood Jugnauth. Both presidents expressed willingness to further promote cooperation in various fields.
Hu said China will continue to implement measures adopted at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2006.
When meeting with Paul Berenger, leader of the Mauritian Militant Movement party, President Hu praised the main Mauritian parties for their friendly policies toward China. Berenger spoke highly of China's measures to cope with the international financial crises, and appreciated China's assistance to Mauritius.
