Charged suspects roam free

Two brothers were charged with assault but not arrested for two years in Yulin, Guangxi province, reported the paper.cn on Monday.

According to the two brothers, they lived at home and even went in and out of the police station after they were charged. The police neither came to arrest them nor it dropped the charges.

But they were arrested soon after they contacted the reporters to reveal their "free status". The police defended its action by claiming it was "waiting for the criminals to turn themselves in".
