Travel across China to fulfill filial piety
Many Chinese people regret that they did not practice filial piety enough due to busy work. A handicapped man from Shijiazhuang in North China's Hebei province is determined not to leave any regret.
Qiu Songyi, a 27-year-old man, put aside everything and accompanied his mother to set off on a nationwide journey by car in July, xinhuanet.com reported on Wednesday. In the past three months, he has driven north from Shijiazhuang to the northernmost Beiji village village in Northwest China's Heilongjiang province, and then headed south.
Qiu lost a leg in an accident in July, 2010. Before long, his father died of cancer. The double tragedy made him determined to fulfill filial piety to his mother in time.
