Man outruns subway
Inspired by sprinter James Heptonstall, who outran the London Underground in September, a man in Beijing also tried and succeeded in beating the Beijing subway, reported The Beijing News on Saturday.
Pan Hailong, who is a PE teacher and also a professional athlete, chose to race the subway train from Nanlishi station to Fuxingmen station on Line 1 at night.
Eight hundred meters, 203 steps, two ticket barriers, and two road crosses later, he made it in time and got back on the same train.
