200 mysterious fires in villager's home
Fire has always been seen as one of the most dangerous natural forces on Earth. But for a farmer in Zhujiayu village, North China's Hebei province, fire has become a weird phenomenon in his home.
Yang Gonghao's house has caught fire without any specific reason more than 200 times within the last 15 days, yzdsb.com.cn reported on Saturday. Since Nov 28, it has burnt his TV, two washing machines, nearly 20 pieces of bedclothes and even a wet cotton-padded jacket.
Yang said a chair caught fire one day when his mother was sitting on it and her clothes were ignited.
The local fire brigade investigated the site and ruled out human cause, but was unable to find the reason.
