Rose garden opens to visitors in Beijing suburbs

A sprawling rose garden in Beijing's suburbs opened Thursday in Caijiawa village, Miyuan county, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in China. A little more than 133 hectares of barren mountain land now has been transformed into a massive garden of fragrant flowers.It took five years to complete the makeover. It is the first planned rose-themed park in North China, where various species of roses and vanilla will blossom each May to October.[Photo/IC]
