A unique Sock Culture Museum was unveiled on March 13 in Yancun county, Fangshan district, Beijing. The museum is 3,200 square meters and boasts a collection of over 1,000 items, including exhibits on domestic sock culture, history, literature, machinery and of course real socks. Additionally, exhibition halls on different subjects such as the History Hall, Technology Hall, Experience Hall and Future Hall are also open to the public. Modern display methods utilizing digital interactive media are on hand at the museum, which educate visitors on the history of socks, how they’re made, along with appropriate fashion etiquette and color-matching schemes.
