Manaus World Cup stadium set to open

RIO DE JANEIRO - Brazil's Arena da Amazonia World Cup stadium is set to host its first match on March 9.
The fixture will feature local outfit Nacional against Remo in the quarterfinal of regional tournament the Copa Verde, according to Brazil football news website Sambafoot.
About 20,000 tickets will be made available for the match, 7,000 of which will be allocated to stadium construction workers and their families.
The stadium is one of four venues yet to be ready for football's signature tournament, to be held from June 12 to July 13.
Located in the jungle city of Manaus, Arena da Amazonia is scheduled to host four World Cup group matches.
