ROMA - Japan midfielder Keisuke Honda has been presented at Italian Serie A side AC Milan on Wednesday.

Honda joined Milan on a three-year deal on a free transfer from CSKA Moscow following a three-year spell with the Russian Premier League club.

Milan, for the second successive season, have struggled to keep pace with the Serie A pacesetters and currently sit in 11th, 27 points off the pace of leaders Juventus and 17 behind the first Champions League qualifying spot.

"I knew that one day my dream would be realized," Honda said. "When I was 12 I wrote in an essay that one day I would play in Serie A with the No. 10."

He'll team with Kaka and Mario Balotelli in attack and will likely make his debut at Sassuolo on Sunday.

Honda's contract is reportedly worth 2.7 million euros (3.7 million US dollars) per season.

Honda scored 28 goals in 127 matches with CSKA. He also has 20 goals in 52 appearances for Japan.
