PARIS - Veteran British midfielder David Beckham will join soon French top league soccer club Pari Saint-Germain (PSG) for 18 months, a local daily reported Wednesday.
"After many months of negotiations, David Beckham said yes to managers of PSG," Le Parisien said citing sources close to the affair.
"Some details remain to be finalized... Sources close to the club said the transfer is acquired by 99 percent," the daily added.
Currently playing for US club Los Angeles Galaxy, the 36-year-old player gave a verbal accord to join the PSG for one year and a half starting from January, according to the report.
Wearing the PSG jersy, Beckham will enjoy 800,000 euros ($1 million) per month, twice the highest wage in French top championship.
Paris Saint-Germain ranked second in France's first league standings after scoring 37 points so far.
