KATHMANDU - Nepal's preparation for the 16th Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou, China, has reached the final stage as the players are kept in closed camp for training.
Secretary of the National Sports Council Hari Babu Chaudhary, who visited China for the purpose of the Asian Games, said in Kathmandu on Sunday that Nepal has reached the final stage of the preparation.
He added the 104 players, 16 managers and 23 coaches are fixed to participate in the Asian Games, according to the National Sports Council. The Nepal Olympic Committee also has prepared to send six games for the Asian Games.
Since the budget has not been passed in Nepal, the cost for the participation is taken from the special cabinet meeting. "We are planning to take fewer officials to the games and give more priority to the players". "We are planning to send medal expecting games for the abroad training as the boxing and whusu had gone," Chaudhary said.
