A tank from an armored regiment with the Xinjiang Military Area Command opens fire in the Taklamakan Desert during a live ammunition exercise in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Friday. The regiment weathered a sandstorm to carry out the exercise, designed to sharpen its combat skills.
