6. Gold Bowl with Mandarin Ducks and Lotus Petals Age: Tang Dynasty
Hammered masterfully into shape, this bowl features two layers of lotus petal engravings on the outside, with each lotus containing ten petals. The upper layer was engraved with various designs, including foxes, rabbits, rivers deer, parrots, Mandarin ducks, flowers and straw. The lower layer was decorated with honeysuckle. A rose carved on its inner base contains the characters “Jiu Liang Ban”.
