The Electricity and Coal Trade Fair |
There was an Electricity and Coal Trade Fair on the side of the Coal Trade Fair 2014, in the China (Taiyuan) Coal Transaction Center, on Dec 14, which pulled in senior government officials of Shanxi province and enterprise representatives from the coal and power sectors.
Yan Shichun, the center's deputy-director gave an annual review of the electricity-coal relationship along with a briefing on power sector development in Shanxi, followed by a center representative, who explained coal transactions and the expected demand for coal in 2014.
Concluding the talks was Ji Mingde, deputy director of the Shanxi Economic and Information Technology Committee, who commended the center for its efforts in facilitating coal transactions.
Various company enterprises also shared their ideas on the business and took part in a lively round of business negotiations.
The Coal Trade Fair is one of China’s largest and, this year, lasts a full eight days, Dec 12-19, and is attracting more than 7,000 traders from all across China.
Shanxi has China's vastest amount of coal reserves, estimated at more than 260 billion tons.
