As the most reputable art college in Northeast China, Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, is most celebrated for its Realistic art and emphasis on art creation's social components.
An ongoing group exhibition features eight young artists from the academy, including Chang Liang, Cheng Yong, Feng Ye and Huang Jinling.
Their works use Realistic techniques to convey symbolic scenes. In this way, they define situations as they view them, while attempting to expand their minds.
These pieces might not be instantly eye-catching but certainly deserve long and thoughtful gazes.
