Beijing artist Hao Bangyi is holding his first solo show of flowers-and-bird paintings at the National Art Museum of China.
On view are more than 60 of his latest works, inspired by his onsite sketches created during his extensive travels.
The 48-year-old began learning ink art from an early age and received strict training in the flowers-and-birds genre at age 14, when he was introduced to such master painters as Wu Zuoren, Li Keran and Li Kuchan.
