China and Russia launched a joint emergency drill on Heihe River, which is on the border of China's Heihe city in Northeast Heilongjiang province and Russia's Blagoveshchensk, on Sept 17. The drill covers three areas: maritime rescue, firefighting and pollution clean-up. The third large-scale China-Russia joint drill on border rivers involves about 200 soldiers and 23 vessels.
