Come to taste an all-tea banquet in Yunnan

If the idea of leisurely sipping tea all day while nibbling at delicious food sounds appealing, then the cucurbit flute festival in Lianghe county, Yunnan province is just for you.
The county is known as the cradle of gourd flute culture and many cucurbit flute masters and famous gourd flute musicians were born there. To protect and preserve the culture, and promote its charms to a wider audience, the cucurbit flute festival was established in 2007.
The all-tea feast, scheduled from Oct 1 to 4, will include many dishes made from Huilong tea, a local tea from Lianghe county.
Here’s the kind of stuff you can look forward to at the banquet:
First dish
Local chicken raised in the Huilong tea garden infused with Huilong tea.
Second dish
Locally caught percocypris pingi, a genus of cyprinidae fishes found in East Asia, garnished with pickled Chinese cabbage and Huilong tea.
Third dish
Quail eggs boiled with Huilong tea and other seasonings.
Fourth dish
Minced pork meatball with Huilong tea powder.
Fifth dish
Huilong tea and local eggs wrapped in pea flour and deep fried.
Sixth dish
Peeled black soya bean tofu stewed with minced meat, black fungus and a stock of Huilong tea.
Visitors can take a bus from Lianghe county town to the tea garden to watch the tea processing and taste the all-tea meal.
