Yunnan Ruili to develop its jewelry industry

Ruili, which borders Myanmar, is one of the China's four biggest jewelry trading centers and began developing its jewelry industry in the 1990s. Ruili has also developed a number of professional jade jewelry markets and has constructed a one-stop industrial chain. The market has attracted businessmen from China, Myanmar, Pakistan, India and Nepal. At present there are 6,000 merchants with more than 40,000 workers in Ruili's jewelry industry, and its annual trading volume has reaches over two billion yuan ($320 million), making the jewelry industry one of Ruili’s core industries.
