The 16th International Automobile Exposition kicked off in Kunming, Yunnan province on June 23 at the Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The expo will run until June 26 under the theme of "Live wonderful life from now on". Seven indoor exhibition rooms and two outdoor exhibition areas feature at the expo, covering an area of 70,000 square meters. A number of automobiles, auto parts and other related products are on display.

More than 700 automobiles from around 100 brands can be found on display at the expo, such as Rolls-Royce, Porsche and Maserati. Statistics from the organizing committee have found that the expo received nearly 600,000 visitors on its opening day and achieved a turnover of more than 100 million yuan ($16.11 million).

The main sponsors of the event are the Kunming municipal government, Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
