Miss Tourism of the Globe Contest launches in Kunming

The 2013 Miss Tourism of the Globe Contest Yunnan Division launched on Sept 12 in Haili Binya Resort & Spa in Kunming, capital city of Yunnan province.

The event was authorized by the organizing committee (Headquarters) of the Miss Tourism of the Globe Contest and sponsored by the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Development Committee and the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Association. It received applications from home and abroad.

The event not only features a current contestant's show, but also the previous winners of the Miss Tourism award. As a festival of the global tourism industry and an annual fashion event, the Miss Tourism contest has been successfully held in China, benefiting the tourism economy.

It is reported that single women between 16 to 28 years old, not less than 1.65 meters tall, in good health, and without plastic surgery or transsexual operations are free to take part in the contest. The deadline is Oct 10, and the finalists are expected to be announced by the end of October. The top three contestants of the Yunnan Division will participate in the China Division contest.
