Wudang photography competition concludes

The Tai Chi Lake Cup 2013 China Wudang International Photography Competition wrapped up recently, and an award ceremony will be held on Nov 26 at the Tai Chi Theater, Wudang Mountains, Hubei province.

Themed "Wudang's four season scenery", the contest ran from July 12, 2013, to June 30, 2014, receiving more than 80,000 entries from over 1,000 photography enthusiasts around the country. Eventually, 800 photos were shortlisted, 200 for each season.

The final selection chose five first-place prizes covering subjects of Wudang scenery, Tai Chi Lake scenery, Wudang culture, Wudang series photography and Wudang creative photography. Each will be awarded with 100,000 yuan ($16,335). Ten second-place prizes, 20 third-place prizes and 165 honorable mentions will also receive bonuses of 30,000 yuan ($4,885), 10,000 yuan ($1,628) and 1,000 yuan ($162.83), respectively.
