A new TV series, Chao Bai Wudang, will start shooting in the Wudang Mountains later this October. It is scheduled to hit TVs during the National Day holiday in 2015.
The series, co-produced by Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and the Wudang Mountains, stars many well-known actors and actresses of TVB, including Siu-ho Chin, Tavia Yeung Yi, Hung Tin Ming and Toby Leung.
It tells the story of a group of Hong Kong residents who visit the Wudang Mountains and study Wudang kung fu to promote Wudang's Taoism culture and the spirit of wushu martial arts, which include humanity, respect and tolerance.
The series will have most of its episodes shot in Wudang to allow audiences to enjoy Wudang's picturesque scenery while watching the series. The crew will also recruit a majority of extras as well as some actors and actresses for important roles from local residents.
