The Wudang Culture Post Office, the first Taoism culture-themed post office in the world, opened in the Wudang Mountains on Oct 1, 2014, to help visitors learn more about Wudang culture.
The post office, located in the Wuyaling parking lot in the Wudang Mountains scenic spot, covers an area of 50 square meters and features elegant decorations and a deep cultural atmosphere.
It highlights traditional Chinese tourism products and Wudang culture-themed products, including commemorative stamps, picture albums and postcards of Wudang Mountain scenery, commemorative envelopes, as well as books and audio-video products related to Wudang.
There are over 200 themed post offices in 30 provinces across the country, such as a post office themed around the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945) in Beijing and a crosstalk-themed post office in Tianjin.
China Post has focused on integrating distinctive cultural resources in the country with postal products in an attempt to better promote postal culture.
