Transforming the old area and exploring the new area, Wudang Mountains in Shiyan, Central China’s Hubei province, aims to make itself a world-famous tourist attraction through self-remoulding, wudangshan.gov.cn reported on March 12.
To promote its tourism image, the Wudang Mountains Tourism and Economy Special Region will focus on the transformation of local residential areas, strengthening the greening of highways.
As for transportation, the Wudang portion of the Hankou-Shiyan Highway, Wudang railway station and other bus stations will be upgraded as well. This year, the special region will continue to improve its supporting infrastructure.
Key projects include Tai Chi Theater, the finance service center, Jinhaian Hotel, aging department buildings and others.
So far, the main part of the Tai Chi Lake Hospital has already been finished. Exploring the Tai Chi Lake new area is another objective of the special region. The Lao Tzu Museum, Tao Te Ching stele forest, Tai Chi Regimen Valley and other projects will further popularize the essence of Taoist culture in and around Wudang Mountains.
