On March 12, Chinese Arbor Day, staffers from the Wudang Tourism and Economy Special Region in Shiyan city, Central China’s Hubei province, planted trees in Mozhenjing village, wudangshan.gov.cn reported.
They were from different departments of the special region and were led by officials from the working committee and management committee of the special region, spreading out to different areas of the village. With a clear division of labor, they were able to surpass the quota for planting trees.
In recent years, greening of Wudang Mountains has become an important part of the local economy’s sustainable development, and many activities were held to enhance residents’ green consciousness.
Today’s Wudang is a natural oxygen bar, which attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists from China and abroad.
