The influx of 49,600 tourists at Wudang Mountains during the three-day holiday of the Mid-Autumn Festival has been attributed to large numbers arriving from the provinces of Henan and Shaanxi and nearby cities.
This year, Wudang Mountains started introducing Wudang kung fu to schools and colleges in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, deepening the young generation's understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
And, since July, the Wudang Mountains scenic area has organized a series of promotional activities such as inviting representatives of national and online media to write feature stories on the area, thus offering the general public further opportunities to enjoy the unique Taoist culture.
The scenic area has developed a full range of tourism products, including kung fu performances, a Taoist culture education center and an exhibition on Wudang's intangible cultural heritage.
The new project of Tai Chi Lake new area has been completed, and the new buildings offer tourists new opportunities to experience the fusion of ancient and modern architecture.
