Wudang rated one of China’s most beautiful geoparks

Wudang Mountains has been rated the fourth most beautiful geopark in China out of a total of 60 such parks, winning 1.56 million votes of the general public. This was the first round of the activity and the results were released on July 29.
A branch of the Geological Society of China and a geological tourism development association in Henan jointly organized the activity for the first time this year, and it aims to support the development of geoparks in China and increase awareness of geological sciences.
The public voted for 60 geoparks out of a total of 102. Experts from the 60 parks will vote for the 30 most beautiful geoparks, and the final result will be released in October.
